We are a community devoted to exploring nature, discovering different cultures, and creating meaningful cultural events. Our journey is guided by the values of sportsmanship, respect for the natural world, and respect for humanity.
the title
Our identity carries a powerful symbolic meaning. According to ancient Greek tradition, the Dorians gradually journeyed from the northern regions toward the Greek mainland during the period known as the Greek Dark Ages. This movement became associated with the legendary “Return of the Heracleidae”—the descendants of Heracles.
Inspired by this story, we envision our own gradual return from Northern Europe through cultural initiatives, creative projects, explorations, and events. Our purpose is to lay the foundations for future generations, encouraging them to grow with open minds and an abundance of ideas for creativity, progress, and life itself.
The Name
The idea of the “New Dorians” was adapted into the Norwegian-inspired name NYEDORIANER. The inspiration for this initiative was born during our explorations through the breathtaking forests and landscapes of the Kingdom of Norway—a place where the Hellenic spirit encountered the wild heart of the North.
